Julian Paul Assange is an Australian internet activist best known for his involvement with Wikileaks, a whistleblower website. Assange was a physics and mathematics student, a hacker, and a computer programmer before taking on his current role as Wikileaks' spokesperson and editor-in-chief.
What is Wikileaks?Wikileaks is a website that publishes governmental, corporate or religious documents that had previously been secret. It usually doesn't give out the names and addresses of people who post documents. The site is based in Sweden. Though it has a similar name to Wikipedia, it is not part of Wikipedia or the WikiMedia Foundation
